Vodafone Idea Chief Marketing Officer Avneesh Khosla said India’s digital growth has historically been built on affordability and equal connectivity access for all users.
“Offering preferential speeds or services based on user profile raises questions around equity and the principles of an equal digital ecosystem,” Khosla said in a statement.
The telecom operator also stressed that future monetisation models and technological innovations should remain transparent, inclusive and consumer-focused.

The debate intensified after Airtel introduced its “priority postpaid” offering designed to provide enhanced network reliability during periods of congestion.
