B2B procurement technology startup BharatTender has secured ₹1.25 crore in a pre-seed funding round from an angel investor as it looks to accelerate the digitisation of business procurement and sourcing processes across India.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen product development, expand customer acquisition efforts, and enhance the platform’s AI-powered procurement capabilities, the company said in a statement.
Founded in 2025 by Rankit Singh, Sanyam Jain, and Anshul Kochar, BharatTender is building a technology-driven procurement marketplace that helps businesses discover suppliers, manage tenders, execute contracts, and process payments through a single digital platform.
Building A Digital Procurement Ecosystem
Procurement remains one of the most fragmented functions for many businesses, particularly small and mid-sized enterprises. Companies often rely on personal networks, spreadsheets, emails, phone calls, and WhatsApp conversations to source products and services.
This fragmented approach frequently results in limited price discovery, inefficient vendor management, and a lack of transparency throughout the procurement process.
BharatTender aims to address these challenges by creating a structured digital procurement ecosystem where businesses can manage the entire sourcing lifecycle online.
The platform enables organizations to float tenders, identify verified suppliers, receive competitive bids, sign contracts digitally, and complete transactions using escrow backed payment mechanisms.
AI-Powered Procurement Platform
A key focus area for BharatTender is the integration of artificial intelligence into procurement workflows.
The startup plans to use the newly raised capital to expand AI-driven features that can help businesses make smarter procurement decisions, improve vendor selection, automate sourcing processes, and increase operational efficiency.
As enterprises increasingly seek digital transformation across supply chains and procurement operations, AI-powered procurement solutions are becoming an important category within enterprise technology.
The founders believe intelligent automation can significantly reduce procurement complexity while improving transparency and cost optimization for businesses.
Addressing A Large Market Opportunity
India’s procurement ecosystem remains largely underserved by technology platforms despite representing a multi billion dollar opportunity.
Businesses across manufacturing, services, infrastructure, retail, and technology sectors continue to face challenges related to supplier discovery, contract management, and payment processing.
BharatTender is positioning itself as a comprehensive procurement infrastructure platform capable of serving startups, SMEs, manufacturers, and large enterprises.
According to the company, the platform is already live and actively serving customers across multiple business segments.
Growth Plans Ahead
With fresh funding in place, BharatTender plans to focus on scaling its operations and strengthening its technology stack.
The startup aims to build a procurement marketplace that combines supplier discovery, tender management, digital contracting, payment security, and AI-powered decision-making into a unified platform.
As Indian businesses increasingly embrace digitisation and automation, procurement technology is emerging as a critical area for innovation.
By bringing structure, transparency, and efficiency to business sourcing, BharatTender hopes to simplify procurement workflows and become a key technology partner for enterprises looking to modernize their purchasing processes.
The pre-seed funding marks an important early milestone for the company as it seeks to build one of India’s next-generation procurement technology platforms.
