Tez Health Is Betting On A Simple Idea: Healthcare Should Reach Patients In Minutes, Not Hours

How Did Tez Health Come Into Existence?

For nearly a decade, entrepreneur Praveen Gowdru worked at the intersection of emergency response, occupational health and healthcare delivery through his first startup, VMEDO. During that journey, he repeatedly encountered a recurring challenge patients often struggled not because healthcare was unavailable, but because it was inconvenient, fragmented and slow.

Whether it was arranging a nurse visit, getting an injection administered, accessing urgent medical support or conducting a diagnostic test, patients frequently had to navigate multiple service providers and long waiting periods.

That observation became the foundation for Tez Health.

Launched in January 2026 by Praveen Gowdru, Ramesh Yadav and Dr. Haripriya, Tez Health emerged from the home healthcare division of VMEDO. Instead of building another healthcare marketplace, the founders set out to create what they describe as an entirely new category on-demand healthcare that brings hospital-grade services directly to patients’ homes within minutes.

The company was initially bootstrapped with ₹1.5 crore from the founders and later raised an additional ₹1 crore from angel investors to accelerate early operations.

What Problem Is Tez Health Solving?

India’s healthcare ecosystem has made significant progress over the last decade, yet accessibility often remains tied to physical infrastructure.

Patients still travel to clinics for basic procedures, diagnostic tests, injections, physiotherapy sessions and routine follow-ups. For elderly individuals, working professionals and families dealing with medical emergencies, these delays can create unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Tez Health believes healthcare should function differently.

Rather than asking patients to travel to healthcare facilities, the startup is building a system where healthcare travels to the patient.

The company’s core philosophy revolves around convenience combined with speed. While quick-commerce companies have trained consumers to expect deliveries within minutes, Tez Health aims to bring the same responsiveness to healthcare without compromising quality, safety or accountability.

How Is Tez Health Different From Traditional Health-Tech Platforms?

Most healthcare startups have focused on teleconsultations, online pharmacies or appointment booking platforms.

Tez Health is taking a fundamentally different approach.

Instead of acting as a digital intermediary, the company operates a real world healthcare delivery network that combines technology with physical healthcare infrastructure.

Its platform coordinates a network of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, ambulance providers and healthcare professionals capable of delivering services directly at home.

Every request is monitored through a technology enabled backend that tracks service quality, response times and patient satisfaction.

The startup currently works with a growing ecosystem of over 500 healthcare professionals and service providers while maintaining operational oversight throughout the patient journey.

What Services Does Tez Health Currently Offer?

Tez Health’s service portfolio is designed around the concept of healthcare-at-home.

Patients can access nursing support, injections, wound care, physiotherapy, diagnostic services, urgent healthcare assistance and post-hospitalisation support without visiting a medical facility.

The company is also developing a rapid-response healthcare layer that bridges the gap between routine care and hospital visits.

One of its most notable differentiators is the ability to coordinate medical services within minutes rather than days, creating a healthcare experience focused on immediacy and convenience.

Pricing has also been standardised to improve accessibility. For example, at-home injection services start at ₹499, providing patients with predictable healthcare costs.

How Is Tez Health Expanding Into Chennai?

As part of its expansion strategy, Tez Health has entered Chennai, marking an important step in its vision to build a nationwide on-demand healthcare network. The startup aims to replicate its Bengaluru model in one of South India’s largest healthcare markets, where demand for home-based medical services continues to grow.

Through its Chennai operations, Tez Health will offer services such as nursing care, injections, physiotherapy, diagnostic support, post-hospitalisation care, and urgent healthcare assistance directly at patients’ homes. The company is also onboarding local healthcare professionals and service partners to strengthen its delivery network in the city.

According to the founders, Chennai serves as a strategic launchpad for future expansion across India. The move aligns with Tez Health’s mission of making healthcare faster, more accessible, and available at patients’ doorsteps within minutes.

How Is The Startup Performing Today?

Although only a few months old, Tez Health has already begun building meaningful traction.

The company currently serves approximately 30 patients daily through its healthcare delivery network. Behind the scenes, a 20-member core team manages operations, technology and service coordination.

Unlike many asset-heavy healthcare models, Tez Health combines an outsourced provider network with strict quality monitoring, allowing it to scale efficiently while maintaining service standards.

The company has also focused on creating sustainable economics for healthcare professionals, with nurses earning a minimum of ₹60,000 per month through consistent service bookings.

What Is Tez Health’s Long-Term Vision?

Tez Health is not positioning itself as simply another healthcare startup.

Its founders believe the future of healthcare will be decentralised, responsive and delivered wherever patients need it.

Over the next five years, the company plans to expand across multiple Indian metropolitan markets and scale from serving 30 patients daily to more than 10,000 patients per day.

The broader vision is to build an integrated healthcare infrastructure layer connecting patients, caregivers, diagnostics, urgent care and hospitals through a single platform.

As healthcare increasingly shifts beyond hospital walls, Tez Health hopes to play a central role in defining the future of on-demand care in India.

For Praveen Gowdru and his team, the mission is clear: transform healthcare from a place patients visit into a service that arrives exactly when it is needed.
