India has appointed Gen NS Raja Subramani as its new Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), making him the country’s senior-most military commander and principal military adviser to the government on tri-services matters.
Gen Subramani officially took charge on Sunday, succeeding Anil Chauhan, who completed his tenure on Saturday.
